Dr. Miller is the President and Founder of Anesthesia Associates of Vermont.

He has been a board-certified anesthesiologist since 2008 with extensive experience caring for critically ill patients having heart or lung surgery (cardiothoracic subspecialty) and regional anesthesia (nerve blocks). He was the medical director of a simulation laboratory for several years and focused on educating future physicians in crisis management and hospital-wide patient safety initiatives. He has published peer-reviewed scientific articles focusing on airway management during cardiac arrest and reducing infections while placing central lines, resulting in improved patient outcomes. His teaching and research achievements lead to him being promoted to Associate Professor.

After nearly two decades practicing in an academic and level-one trauma center, he transitioned to the outpatient setting. He has been working in ambulatory surgery since 2021 and enjoys the change. The diverse experience has molded Dr. Miller into a well-rounded and highly skilled physician. He enjoys taking care of patients in any clinical setting, finding joy in improving their comfort and putting them at ease during a stressful experience.

Dr. Miller has four children, a loving partner, and an occasionally well-behaved cockapoo. He enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, reading, learning and spending time with family and friends.
